On Sunday morning the Café Meteor Bistro becomes a creperie. Our Sunday morning menu offers both the traditional breakfast and several crêpe options both savoury and sweet choices. We are opened Sunday between 9am till 2pm.
A creperie is a restaurant specializing in crêpes. They are typical of Brittany in France; however, creperies can be found throughout France and in many other countries. Because a crêpe may be served as both a main meal or a dessert, creperies are quite diverse.
The Sunday Morning Menu
In developing our Sunday morning menu we tried to offer a variety which would satisfy most people. In addition to our traditional breakfast plate and our hot breakfast sandwich, we have a selection of 3 savoury crêpes with totally different tastes: bacon & eggs, chicken and salmon. On the sweet side, we have again a selection of 5 crêpes. All of our crêpes are available in both the regular and our gluten-free buckwheat options. We use local flours in the preparation of our batters. A mix of local cheese is also used in our crêpes.
Our menu items which are offered during the week are also available during the weekends. Our traditional breakfast plate, our breakfast sandwich, our ‘gutsy cereal’ (hot granola), our french toast, our homemade toasts & jam.
Eggs Benedict have recently been added to our Sunday morning menu. You can choose from the roasted pepper & goat cheese, the Montreal smoked meat or the salmon florentine options.
Starting at 11am, our Mimosa cocktails are also available. We have the more traditional one with orange juice but we also offer the ‘rhubarb’ option made with the local ‘Guizou’ sparkling juice.
