This duo will make you believe that folk music can change the world.  They have been both influenced by the music of Cat Stevens, Nina Simone, The Civil Wars, Alanis Morisette, The Be Good Tanyas, Lhasa, Aaron Neville, Tracy Chapman, Tina Turner, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon.

Born in New York, raised in Toronto, and now residing in Hamilton since 2015, critically acclaimed folk singer, songwriter and social activist Piper Hayes is truly authentic. Nowadays, Hayes performs and writes closely with her partner Carson Ritcey-Thorpe.  Carson, raised in Hamilton works on a farm when not performing.  He studied Environmental Governance.
