About Michel Gentils

Michel Gentils began his career in the United States as a folk guitar composer, improviser, and concert artist. Back in France, he became one of the precursors of guitar picking and developed new techniques on his favourite instrument: the 12-string guitar, which he uses as a real solo instrument. Passionate self-taught, he enriches his music with foreign influences (India, Turkey, Central Europe in particular), then gets closer to the world of classical and contemporary music. He has given hundreds of concerts in France and abroad.  He has recorded five albums and in 2011 released the first 12-string guitar method. More information can be found on his web site.
